About- Jana's Story

Our stories are more than memories—they are the roots of who we are becoming. When we honor our experiences and share them authentically, we transform pain into wisdom, challenges into growth, and isolation into connection. Authenticity allows us to stop performing and start living as our truest selves.

For over 20 years, I have walked the path of growth, healing, nature connection and leadership—one shaped as much by life’s hardships as by its beauty. My own journey through poverty, trauma, narcissistic abuse, loss, resilience, death experiences and renewal taught me not only how to rise from the darkest places but how to guide others with compassion and integrity. Rooted in a trauma-informed approach, I blends my academic education in leadership with years of personal study in healing philosophies, energy practices, and spiritual traditions. My calling as a shamanic practitioner weaves it all together—bridging ancient wisdom and modern understanding, body and spirit, the practical and the mystical. I walk the line of living today and continuous healing.

This work is more than a profession for me, it is my life calling. From my own journey through challenge, growth, trauma and healing, I learned that we are never meant to walk alone. The shamanic path opened a doorway back to Spirit, to the Earth, and to my own inner strength, and it showed me that my purpose is to guide others in remembering their wholeness. I do this work because I know, with every part of my being, that healing ripples outward—when one of us rises, we all rise. 🌿

What is shamanism today?

Shamanism is one of humanity’s most ancient spiritual practices, rooted in direct relationship with the Earth, Spirit, and the unseen realms. For thousands of years, shamans have acted as bridges—walking between worlds, seeking guidance from spirits, and bringing back wisdom and healing for their people.

Today, shamanism is not tied to one culture or tradition. Instead, it is a living practice that continues to evolve while honoring its ancient roots. Modern shamanic practitioners may not live in remote villages or be chosen by their tribes, but they are still called to serve as bridge-keepers—helping others connect with Spirit, reclaim their soul’s wisdom, and restore balance in a world often disconnected from nature and meaning.

In today’s world, shamanism looks like:

  • Using drumming, rattling, somatic movement or breath to enter altered states and journey between realms.

  • Seeking guidance from spirit allies, ancestors, and the natural world.

  • Supporting healing on the spiritual, emotional, and energetic levels—not just the physical.

  • Creating ritual and ceremony to honor life’s cycles, transitions, and the seasons of Earth.

  • Remembering that everything is alive and interconnected.

At its heart, shamanism today is about remembering our belonging—to Spirit, to the Earth, and to each other. It is a way of walking through daily life with reverence, awareness, and relationship.

Jana's healing philosophy -

I believe healing is not about fixing what is “broken,” but about remembering and reclaiming the wholeness that has always been within us. True healing honors the entire being—body, mind, heart, and spirit—because each part of us is woven together. When one thread is tended, the whole fabric becomes stronger.

In my work, I hold a compassionate space where clients can feel safe to explore their shadows, release old wounds, and reconnect with their natural vitality. Through a blend of shamanic practices, somatic awareness, and spiritual guidance, I help people find balance between the seen and unseen, the physical and the energetic.

This holistic approach allows clients to:

  • Calm and regulate the nervous system

  • Build resilience in both daily life and spiritual growth

  • Access deeper intuition and clarity

  • Reconnect with their body as a sacred guide

  • Step forward with authenticity, empowerment, and trust

Healing, as I see it, is a journey of integration and embodiment. It’s about walking with awareness, listening deeply, and weaving together the wisdom of Spirit and the strength of the human experience. In this way, clients don’t just find relief, they discover transformation that touches every layer of their lives.

Testimonials

For years, decades,  I've been creating a plan as to what to do instead of being depressed. But I was too depressed to implement it. In 1 week of the 8 Chakra Healing program I see hope and change. I woke up without cursing that I was still alive.  I feel the shift, I did yoga. There's a light that wasn't there before. I can only imagine the transformation that's coming for me.
